The blog of a not-quite-thirty-yet lady who tries to keep her head from spinning too fast.

The blog will report on things to do with immigration to the US and all the personal, practical and cultural issues that come with that.  It exists so that the lady in question can refrain from bothering friends and family as well as the Beloved with musings and ramblings on things that are premature, unlikely or trivial.

Subjects will include (but are not limited to): wedding planning, Johnny Cash, Toni Morrisson, family, society’s expectations, experiences with consulates and embassies.  Maybe at some point I’ll include a picture or two, but for the time being, it’s just words.

Oh I love the “It exists so that the lady in question can refrain from bothering friends and family as well as the Beloved with musings and ramblings on things that are premature, unlikely or trivial.”
The poor boy has to constantly listen to all my little obsessions changing all the time and going through my head, like, isn’t that lamp to short ? And what if this, and what if that ?
We girls do love imagining all the possible scenarios of things before they even happen huh?
Good luck with the immigration /visa bureacratic process. My best friend is in the same boat, though already married (since last summer) currently waiting for the visa to be approved before she can rejoin her husband again…

I’m not sure if “imagining all the possible scenarios of things before they even happen” is really something that we love 😉 It sometimes seems to be a compulsion that’s both a blessing and a curse.

As to the immigration process; it must be tough for your friend to be apart from her husband, especially since they generally discourage traveling to the US on a tourist visum if you have a process running in the mean time. I consider myself very lucky to at least be in the same country as my husband for our struggles with the Powers That Be.

    O hai!

Do I know you in the real world somewhere? Or have you found me from somewhere on the nets?

    Thanks for the follow. 🙂

I saw your comment on APW as a (sort-of fellow) non-monogamist, clicked through to your blog and decided you seem neat after I had read a few posts.

Also, I couldn’t resist the name of your blog 🙂 It’s fantastically cute.

Did you leave the followup comment? I THOUGHT that might be you. 😉

Welcome, and thank you for the compliments!

That wasn’t me. I’m on there with a different nickname (top comment in that thread).

I look forward to reading more from you!
