The other house

Swift negotiations followed, concerning the house. The buyer is a family member, looking for a student pad for his daughter. He knows what I owe on the place and is willing to pay a little above the appraised value in return for his pick of the furniture. Good: beloved and I don’t need much, since his place is furnished, and everything I don’t need to move, sell or throw out, saves me trouble.

I still lose money, but not nearly as much as with any other buyer or with intereference from a realtor.

We aim to sign the place over on May 1st. Hopefully the gods of red tape and bureaucracy are willing to grant us this.
